When are Good Works Not Good Works? (Col. 2:16-23; LD 33) | 2006-2007 Catechism Sermons

We are those who are secured by the work of Christ. His merits come to us by His grace. So how do we know if the works we do are to His glory? The apostle Paul knows of the works that the saints do for Christ in Colossae, but the apostle points out that at best they have an “appearance of wisdom.” What are these good works that are not good? Why do these works ultimately glorify the flesh? How do we know if we truly are doing good works? Please stay tuned as we hear, “When Good Works are not Good Works.”
