When we think of leaders or kings we think of individuals that are worthy of glory. They wear expensive clothing, they drive nice cars, and they have the most luxurious mansions. We do not think of them as talking to the lowly people. We do not think of them as having to get their hands dirty. In fact, we are not alone in this assumption. The disciples have a problem with Christ washing their feet as well because that was work reserved for peasants. So, why does Christ wash their feet? Why is it significant that Christ washes even Judas' feet? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned to our sermon titled, "The Peasant King."
