The book of Joshua starts off at a real high point in Israel’s history. Yes, it is sad that Moses is dead, but at least there is a successor who will finish the job. However, we find that this is not the case. Joshua is old, and he has not dispossessed all the nations as the Lord commanded Israel to do. Does this mean that the Lord has forsaken His promises? Does this mean that the Lord has failed? Does this mean that Abraham’s promise will not be realized? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned as we hear, "Joshua My Servant is Old."
