The idea that God chooses His people is something that is still controversial today. It sounds mean that the Lord only selects some people and not everyone. On the flip side we could see that Christ as the Shepherd securing His sheep offers us rich comfort. What kind of comfort does this offer? What peace do we have if God chooses His people?
