Ascended into Heaven (Luke 24:36-53; LD 18) | 2006-2007 Catechism Sermons

Lord’s day 18 of the Heidelberg Catechism lays out the significance of Christ’s ascension into heaven. This ascnension of Christ into heaven is the crowing of his work in history. However, as we consider that, does it mean that we serve an ivory tower God? Does it mean that our Lord is not a Good Shepherd that leads us to His rest? How is it that as we are grounded in Him that this ascension does anything good for the establishment of the heavenly Kingdom and its Citizens? Please stay tuned as we hear, “Ascended into Heaven.”
