Corinth's Gracious Willingness (2 Cor. 8:16-9:5)
As Christians we know that we do not live our lives to please people, but to please the Lord. As this is true why does Paul say that in the process of taking the collection he desires to be honorable in the face of man? Does this mean that the Corinthian church is to give the offering so that they can look good before the face of man? Are the Corinthians to give more generously to make a larger contribution than the other churches ? Why does Paul call the Corinthians to give to this offering?
