It can be an intimidating ordeal for a Christian to invite a non Christian to church. Christians might be scared of questions that one might ask, "Why, should I go to church?" or "Why should I believe the bible?" These are legitimate questions that can put a Christian on edge. However, we are called to defend our faith ( I Peter 3:15). This is a bit of the problem. We know there is something to do, but then sometimes we are scared of the conversation. So, there is the temptation for someone to do a quick invitation to church, and then run away to avoid the "awkward conversation."
Mathias Media is aware of this problem, and has put together a great program to give tools to the saints so that "the conversation" is not so uncomfortable. Matthias Media put together an excellent curriculum that a church can tailor to its own distinctives and conscience. This course gives people the tools and the confidence to invite others to church without being intimidated by the difficult questions. One other advantage of this course is that it helps Christians know the gospel in a very simple skeleton outline. This is a great course, and I highly recommend it. If you are interested in attending the course we are going through it from August 29, 2008 through October 3. This is an open invitation to the community in Fresno, CA.
